Becky Shearer - Guitar, Piano, Ukelele Instructor

 

Becky Davis, originally from southwestern Ohio, recently graduated from Visible Music College with a degree in Songwriting. Growing up in a musical family, she has been playing music in some form or fashion for 14 years.  For the past 5 years, she has been teaching guitar, bass, piano, ukulele, mandolin, banjo, songwriting, and theory.

                     Jameson Patz -  Drum Instructor

Jameson is a creative and multifaceted artist who has been playing and studying drums for over 14 years.  In 2013, Jameson received a Bachelor of Ministry Degree in Modern Music - Percussion from Visible Music College.  Since graduating, he has been instructing drums and percussion to students of all ages throughout the Memphis community.  Jameson also serves on the worship band at Kroc Church Memphis and plays in the band Laramie.

            Carlos De La Fuente - Guitar Instructor

Carlos is a lifelong resident of the Bluff City.  He is currently in his second year at Visible Music College working towards a bachelor's degree in modern music majoring in guitar. Carlos has been playing guitar for 7 years and also leads worship at Bethel Baptist Church. He’s excited to meet new upcoming musicians and to have a great time playing music.

                     Rob Halford - Violin Instructor

Memphis native, Rob Halford is a 25 year old Music Production Major at Visible Music College. With 20 years of violin experience, Rob enjoys teaching and playing the instrument, and does so from the inspirations of a variety of different influences and playing styles. “I consider it a great blessing to have the opportunity to teach people of any age about the wonderful language of music that God has given us - and to do so through the lens of the violin.” 

Mark Allen - Guitar Instructor

 

Mark was born and raised in New Jersey and came to Memphis in 2010 to pursue a music degree at Visible Music College. He graduated in 2014 with a bachelor in Modern Music - Guitar, but he also studied keyboard during his time in college. Since then he was played gigs around the city and been very active in a band called Airside playing guitar/keyboard. He also teaches lessons different places around the city and his love for music is shared and passed on to his students. 

            Jonathan Lehman - Drum Instructor


Jonathan Andrew Lehman has been practicing music since 2004 and been a performing musician since 2011. In 2016, he graduated with a bachelors degree from the Modern Music Drum Program of Visible Music College. He has accumulated knowledge and experience in everything from how to excel in personal practice, to studio recording, to live performance, solo or with a band, and has a passion for passing on what he has learned to others. Friendly, energetic, and reliable, Jonathan’s skill set and passion to teach make him a great instructor for beginner to intermediate drum students. 

Nicki Halford - Piano, Violin, Vocal Instructor


Nicki has been teaching violin, voice and piano lessons in a group and private setting since 2012. She loves teaching all styles of music, and loves to incorporate each student's favorite songs/genre into lessons, as well as ear training and improvisation.  Nicki graduated from Geneva College in Pennsylvania with a B.A. in music with a concentration in classical voice, and a minor in business. She also completed the requirements for a certificate in violin from Visible Music College.  She has experience in songwriting, and playing and singing for musical theatre productions, weddings, churches, and as a touring and recording musician. She loves making jewelry, is currently learning cello, and has a sassy cat, Ellie. 

            Sarah Greenwald - Piano, Vocal Instructor

Sarah Greenwald has been a vocal instructor here at VCMS since the fall of 2014. She attained her bachelor's degree from Visible Music College in music with an emphasis in vocal performance. She chose to stay in the beautiful Memphis area in hopes to inspire and encourage more vocal students like herself. In her spare time, she is busy helping the worship team at Life Fellowship Church and hanging out with her new puppy Addy!

Kimberly Thomas - Director

​

 Memphis native, Kimberly attended the University of Memphis where she received a B.A. in Accounting. She is currently pursuing her Masters at Union University. She looks forward to a long journey with Visible and creating a change by offering our youth access to caring instructors and skill building content through music. She is a mother of three, Billy, Kristian and McKenzie who all loves sports, traveling, shopping, interior design and running.
